WAIANAE, HI – A collision near Waianae Mall on Wednesday afternoon injured a man riding an e-bicycle, KITV reported.
The victim, a 58-year-old man, was riding an e-bike at a plaza on Farrington Highway when the accident took place at about 3:15 p.m.
According to Honolulu Emergency Medical Services, the man crashed into a truck and was ejected from the bike before hitting a stop sign and a metal fence.
The bicyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, was treated at the scene by EMS crews and then was transported to a local emergency room. He was listed in serious condition. No other injuries were reported.
