12-year-old e-bike rider injured after crashing into parked car in Kapolei

KAPOLEI, HI – A collision involving an e-bike in Kapolei sent a boy to the hospital on Wednesday morning, KITV reported.

Honolulu Emergency Medical Services responded to the crash at about 7:13 a.m. on Kapolei Parkway.

EMS learned that the 12-year-old victim was riding his e-bike when he crashed into a parked car. Paramedics treated the boy for serious arm and leg injuries and provided advanced life support at the scene before transporting him to an emergency room, where he was listed in serious condition.

The boy was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
