WAIKIKI, HI – A vehicle vs. pedestrian collision in Waikiki on Saturday afternoon sent two men to the hospital, according to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.

The incident on Kalakaua Avenue reportedly took place at a hotel beach resort drop-off area.   Honolulu Emergency Medical Services crews arrived at about 4:18 p.m. to help the injured victims.

The driver of the vehicle, a 68-year-old man, was transported by EMS to an area hospital and was listed in serious condition.  One pedestrian, a 60-year-old man, was also hospitalized in serious condition.

Two other pedestrians, women ages 52 and 27, were evaluated at the scene and declined to be transported.  Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
