HONOLULU, HI – Honolulu police have released details of a fatal crash that occurred early Wednesday morning, according to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.
Investigators determined that a man was driving north on Fort Weaver Road in the Ewa Beach area when the incident happened at about 1:22 a.m. The vehicle veered off the road onto the center median and crashed into a tree, police said.
The driver, a 46-year-old man, was pronounced dead after being taken to an area hospital. Police believe speed was a contributing factor in the fatal wreck. The victim was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
