AIEA, HI – A collision in Aiea involving an alleged drunk driver left two people injured, Honolulu Police said.

KITV reports the accident occurred on the Hickam overpass on the H-1 west freeway early Saturday morning.  Investigators said a woman was driving in the wrong direction on the overpass and collided with another vehicle.  The second driver lost control of his vehicle, which then went over a wall and landed upside-down on the freeway.

That driver, a 28-year-old man, was hospitalized in critical condition.  The driver of the first vehicle, a 19-year-old woman, was seriously injured in the wreck.  She was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence.

Police are still investigating the crash, which shut down the H-1 westbound lanes at the Hickam off-ramp and on-ramp.
