WAIANAE, HI – A woman was arrested following an accident in Waianae on Wednesday night that left three people hospitalized, including a toddler and an infant, according to KITV.
The two-vehicle crash occurred near the intersection of Leihoku Street and Farrington Highway at about 7:30 p.m.
The three injured victims were in one of the vehicles – an 18-year-old woman, a 2-year-old girl and a 3-month-old girl. They were transported to an area hospital by Emergency Medical Services, and were listed in serious condition. A toddler in the other vehicle was evaluated at the scene but did not need to be transported.
The other driver, a 36-year-old woman, was arrested under suspicion of operating a vehicle under the influence of an intoxicant.
Police believe speed and alcohol were contributing factors in the collision.
