KANEOHE, HI – First responders were called to the scene of a motorcycle accident on Pali Highway Wednesday afternoon, Hawaii News Now reported.
A 43-year-old man was riding a motorcycle shortly after 3 p.m. when he crashed in the Kaneohe-bound Pali Tunnel. He suffered multiple traumatic injuries, and was rushed to an area hospital by Emergency Medical Services crews. The man was listed in serious condition. No other injuries were reported.
He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the wreck. Lanes were closed on the highway during the emergency response and drivers were diverted before the tunnels.
