Collision on H-1 Freeway eastbound blocks lane, snarls traffic

HONOLULU, HI – The Hawaii Department of Transportation alerted drivers to a crash affecting traffic on the H-1 Freeway on Tuesday.

The DOT issued an advisory at about 2:50 p.m. that two vehicles had collided on the freeway eastbound before the Pali Highway off- ramp. The left lane was blocked, resulting in heavy traffic in the area. Motorists were advised to seek alternate routes. No injuries were immediately reported.

An update was issued later in the afternoon stating that the crash had been cleared and traffic in the area was beginning to flow more smoothly.
