Collision causes traffic backups along eastbound H1 Freeway in Waikele

WAIKELE, HI – A collision was reported to be slowing traffic along a stretch of the H1 Freeway in Honolulu on Wednesday morning.

According to an advisory from KITV Traffic shortly before 11 a.m., the accident happened on the left side of the freeway heading eastbound before the Managers Drive overpass in the Waikele area. The wreck was moved off to the right shoulder at the Waikele exit. There were no immediate reports of injuries.

Traffic was backed up from Kualaka’i Parkway as well as from Geiger Road and Fort Weaver road north to the freeway.
