Boy seriously injured when e-bike crashes into parked car in Kailua

KAILUA, HI – An electric bicycle accident in Kailua on Monday morning sent a boy to the hospital, according to KITV.

The 12-year-old was riding his e-bike in the area of Pauiku Street and Paulele Street when the incident took place at about 7:20 a.m.

Honolulu Emergency Medical Serivces said the child crashed the bike into a parked car at the intersection.  He suffered head and lower body injuries.

The boy was treated by paramedics and was reported to be in serious condition.
