HONOLULU, HI – Paramedics were dispatched to the scene of an accident in Honolulu that left a bicyclist injured on Thursday afternoon, according to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.
Honolulu EMS said the bike rider collided with a car at the intersection of Queen Emma Street and South Kukui Street in the downtown area at about 3:30 p.m.
The victim, a man estimated to be 59 years old, was listed in serious condition after being rushed to an area trauma hospital.
It was not yet clear what led to the crash, or whether the rider was wearing a helmet.
