8-year-old girl struck by vehicle in Laie while riding bicycle

LAIE, HI – Emergency Medical Services crews were called to the scene of an accident that injured a young girl in Laie on Wednesday evening.

According to Hawaii News Now, the incident took place at Hale La’a Boulevard and Iosepa Street. EMS said an 8-year-old riding her bicycle was struck by a vehicle at the intersection.

She was seriously injured and taken to the hospital with a possible head injury.
