HONOLULU, HI – Honolulu police said the victim of a pedestrian accident in Kalihi on Nov. 8 has died of her injuries, the Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports.
The pedestrian, a 79-year-old woman, was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Eluwene Street and Kalihi Street. According to investigators, she was in a marked crosswalk when she was hit by a vehicle turning left onto Kalihi Street. She was critically injured and transported to an area hospital. Police confirmed her death on Tuesday night.
The driver of the vehicle was a 49-year-old woman. Police are continuing to investigate the collision, and said there were no signs that speed, drugs or alcohol were contributing factors.
