HONOLULU, HI – Honolulu police are investigating a crash in Aiea last week that left a woman critically injured, according to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.

The accident happened Wednesday on the Moanaula Extension near the H-3 Freeway.  An initial investigation found that a man was driving eastbound at about 5:55 a.m. when he veered off the road and struck a delineator.  A passenger in the car, a 72-year-old woman, was rushed to an area hospital in critical condition.

The driver, a 65-year-old man, was not injured.  No other vehicles were involved in the incident.

Investigators do not believe that speed, drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash.
