68-year-old bicyclist hospitalized following crash in Kaimuki

KAIMUKI, HI – Honolulu Emergency Medical Services was at the scene of an accident that left a bicyclist seriously injured.

The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports the incident took place Monday morning in the vicinity of Kapiolani Boulevard and Waialae Avenue in Kaimuki.

EMS crews arrived at about 11:20 a.m. to find a 68-year-old bicyclist who had sustained a possible head injury, though it was unclear whether he had been hit by a vehicle.

The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he was listed in serious condition.
