HONOLULU, HI – A collision on a highway in Kalihi Sunday night sent six people to the hospital, according to KHON.

Investigators said a pickup truck had stalled out on the side of the H-1 Freeway near the Lifelike Highway off-ramp sometime before 8:20 p.m.  when it was struck by a van.  Five people were in front of the pickup doing repairs at the time the accident occurred.

The injured victims, four men and two women, were hospitalized in serious condition.

All westbound lanes of the freeway were shut down at the Likelike Highway off-ramp before reopening later in the evening.
