5-car collision slows traffic on H1 Freeway along Waimalu on-ramp

HONOLULU, HI – Honolulu police and first responders were dispatched to the scene of a multi-vehicle collsion on the H1 Freeway Wednesday morning.

According to an alert from KITV Traffic at 10:54 a.m., five cars were involved in the wreck on the eastbound freeway along the Waimalu on-ramp. There was no immediate word on whether anyone had been injured.

The Hawaii Freeway Service Patrol arrived to tow vehicles off the freeway to the Waimalu triangle. Traffic was reported to be slow from the Kunia on-ramp and off-ramp to the eastbound H1 Freeway. Drivers were advised to use Kamehameha Highway as an alternate route if possible.
