HONOLULU, HI – Drivers encountered traffic delays on the H-1 Freeway in Honolulu during Monday morning’s rush hour due to a multi-vehicle accident.

According to Hawaii News Now, three vehicles were involved in the collision near the Aiea pedestrian overpass at about 7:30 a.m.  There was no word on whether anyone was injured.

Honolulu police, firefighters and paramedics all responded to the scene.  Three left lanes of the freeway were shut down during the crash response, and traffic was snarled going past Manager’s Drive in Ewa.

The Zipperlane was open to all vehicles until 9:30 to ease the congestion.
