3 injured when car plows into front of food store in Mililani

MILILANI, HI – Three people were injured in a car accident at a grocery store in Mililani on Saturday morning, according to Hawaii News Now.

Police said the driver of a Nissan Altima crashed into the front entrance of the Foodland store at Mililani Shopping Center at 95-221 Kipapa Drive shortly after 10 a.m.

Honolulu Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and found a 92-year-old woman who had been seriously injured, and an 80-year-old man and a 60-year-old woman with minor injuries. It was not clear which of the three had been the driver of the vehicle.  Two of the three injured victims were taken to an area hospital.

The store was closed after the accident as damage to the checkout area was assessed before reopening Sunday morning.
