3 elderly pedestrians struck by vehicle on Ala Moana Boulevard in Ward area

HONOLULU, HI – A pedestrian accident on Ala Moana Boulevard in Honolulu Wednesday morning left three elderly pedestrians injured, reports Hawaii News Now.

Honolulu police and first responders were called to the scene near Queen Street in the Ward area after the victims were struck by a vehicle shortly before 6:30 a.m.

They were rushed to an area hospital by Honolulu Emergency Medical Services and were listed in serious condition.  The three injured victims were an 85-year-old woman and two 78-year-old women.  A police officer said the three did not have the right of way at the time they were hit.

Police are continuing to investigate the accident, which closed the westbound lanes on Ala Moana Boulevard.
