2 injured when vehicle collides with container in Kapolei

KAPOLEI, HI – Emergency crews were called to a collision in Kapolei early Tuesday morning that left two people injured, the Honolulu Star-Advertiser reported.

According to Honolulu Emergency Medical Services, a truck collided with a container on Lauwiliwili Street shortly after 3:05 a.m.   The two injured victims in the truck were a man and a woman, both 33-years-old.  One was able to get out of the vehicle on their own, while the other was extricated with rescue tools.

The two were treated at the scene by EMS for multiple traumatic injuries, and then were taken to an area hospital in serious condition.

No details were released on what led to the crash.
