HONOLULU, HI – Honolulu police said a collision on Wednesday morning left the two drivers injured, one critically.
Hawaii News Now reports the incident happened on Kaukonahua Road in the Wahiawa area at about 6:45 p.m.
A police investigation indicated that a driver headed northbound drove off the roadway, struck a guardrail, and went back onto the road. His vehicle then crossed over the center line and collided with another vehicle.
The first driver, a 35-year-old man from Ewa Beach, was hospitalized in critical condition. The other driver sustained minor injuries.
Investigators do not believe that speed, drugs or alcohol were contributing factors in the accident.
