HONOLULU, HI – An accident along the H-1 Freeway in Honolulu sent a motorcycle rider to the hospital on Thursday, reports the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.
Honolulu Emergency Medical Services said the 19-year-old motorcyclist was heading eastbound at about 12 p.m. when he lost control of his bike and crashed near the Ewa off-ramp.
The rider was reported to have suffered a serious leg injury and was transported to an area hospital, where he was listed in serious condition.
All eastbound lanes of the freeway were shut down while police and paramedics responded to the scene.
