HONOLULU, HI – An elderly driver was killed in a car wreck in Central Oahu on Tuesday morning, Hawaii News Now reports.
The accident happened in the area of Kaukonahua Road and Kamehameha Highway near Waialua. Police said a man lost control of his vehicle while driving near the intersection shortly before 6:35 a.m. and collided with a large tree.
Honolulu Emergency Medical Services crews found the 82-year-old motorist dead at the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by Honolulu police.
