EWA BEACH, HI – Paramedics in Honolulu were dispatched to the scene of a collision that left two people injured on Friday afternoon, the Honolulu Star-Advertiser reported.
Authorities said a moped and an e-bike crashed head-on along a sidewalk near 91-200 Fort Weaver Road in Ewa Beach at about 2 p.m.
The moped rider, a 35-year-old woman, and the bike rider, a 12-year-old girl, were both treated by paramedics. Neither was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
Honolulu Emergency Medical Services rushed both victims to area hospitals, where they were listed in serious condition. An investigation is underway into the cause of the incident.
