2 injured after vehicle strikes pedestrian at Honolulu airport

HONOLULU, HI – Honolulu Emergency Services crews were called to the scene of an accident at the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport on Monday afternoon, according to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.

EMS said a driver struck a pedestrian just outside of the customs area at the lower level of the airport at about 12:30 p.m.  The pedestrian, a woman about 65 years old, was hospitalized in serious condition.

The driver of the vehicle, a man in his 60s, was transported to the hospital and listed in critical condition.  EMS said the driver may have suffered from some type of medical condition prior to the collision with the pedestrian.
