HONOLULU, HI – A vehicle crash and a downed tree were reported to be disrupting traffic along the Likelike Highway on Thursday afternoon.
According to an advisory from KITV Traffic at 1:22 p.m., the collision occurred on the Kaneohe bound stretch of the highway, and the vehicles ended up on the right shoulder.
A tree was down at the same location, blocking both of the Kaneohe bound lanes before the Wilson Tunnel. Motorists were using the left shoulder to get by.
A Hawaii Department of Transportation crew and the Honolulu Fire Department headed to the scene to cut up the tree and get the lanes reopened to traffic.
