HONOLULU, HI – Police were dispatched to the scene of a crash disrupting traffic in Honolulu on Tuesday afternoon, the Hawaii Department of Transportation said.
According to post by Hawaii DOT at 2:19 p.m., the accident happened on the westbound Moanalua Freeway before the Ala Kapuna Street overpass. Lanes 4 and 5 were blocked while police and emergency crews responded. Drivers were advised to seek alternate routes.
In an update later in the afternoon, the DOT said the crash had been cleared and all lanes were reopened.
