HALEIWA, HI – A car accident at the Haleiwa Boat Harbor on Monday night left three teenage boys injured, reports KITV.

Honolulu Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene shortly before 8:30 p.m. and learned that a car had crashed into a pole before ending up in the ocean.

The three boys, ages 17, 16, and 16, were treated at the scene before being transported to an area hospital.  The 17-year-old was listed in serious condition while the other two were in stable condition.  Investigators are now trying to determine what caused the accident.

The collision between the car and the pole left about 1,000 utility customers without power.  Hawaii Electric Light Company dispatched crews to the scene to restore the power.
