Woman dies after car slams into pole on Farrington Highway

HONOLULU, HI – Investigators are looking into the cause of a fatal car accident in the Nanakuli area early Thursday morning.

A report by KHON states that Honolulu Police Department officers responded to Farrington Highway shortly before 1 a.m.

Police said that a 34-year-old woman was driving eastbound when she drove off the right side off the roadway and over a curb.  The vehicle crashed into a pole.

Honolulu Emergency Medical Services rushed the woman to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Her name was not immediately released.
