Rollover accident in Waimanalo leaves 4 teenagers injured

HONOLULU, HI – A rollover accident in Waimanalo Sunday night sent four teenagers to the hospital, the Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports.

First responders were dispatched to the scene on Old Kalanianaole Road after the incident was reported at 8:38 p.m.

They found that a vehicle had crashed and come to rest on its side.  The Honolulu Fire Department said two of the occupants were able to get out on their own, while the two others had to be extricated with the use of hydraulic rescue tools.

Honolulu Emergency Services transported the victims to an area hospital.  Two 15-year-old boys and two girls ages 16 and 14 were listed in stable condition.

The roadway was shut down for the crash response and investigation.
