HONOLULU, HI – Police and paramedics were at the scene of a fatal accident in Honolulu Tuesday morning, reports Hawaii News Now.
The incident happened along Likelike Highway near the Burmeister overpass, where Honolulu police arrived at about 6 a.m.
The crash was said to have involved a pedestrian, and a woman in her 30s was pronounced dead at the scene. There was no immediate word on whether the victim was the pedestrian mentioned.
The accident investigation shut down all lanes of Likelike Highway before it reopened later in the morning, causing heavy delays for rush hour drivers. Motorists were being diverted onto the H-3 Freeway.
