15-year-old e-bike rider injured in collision with vehicle in Kalihi area

KALIHI, HI – A collision at an intersection in the Kalihi area Sunday afternoon injured a teenage e-bike rider, authorities said.

A report by KITV states that the 15-year-old rider collided with another vehicle in the area of Hala Drive and Makahine Street shortly before 4:10 p.m.

Emergency crews transported the teen to an area hospital, where he was listed in serious condition.  The boy was wearing a helmet at the time the accident occurred.

No one else was injured in the crash.
