Crews respond to collision on Nimitz Highway east at Aolele Street

HONOLULU, HI – Honolulu police, firefighters and emergency crews were on the scene of a collision on Nimitz Highway on Tuesday afternoon.

According to an alert from KITV Traffic at 12:09 p.m., the incident occurred in the left lane of the eastbound highway at Aolele Street.  It resulted in one vehicle facing oncoming traffic

Honolulu firefighters cleaned fluid that spilled on the roadway as a result of the crash, and all lanes reopened later in the afternoon.  A flatbed tow truck was called in to take away one of the vehicles involved.
