HONOLULU, HI – Officials have released an update on an accident that occurred last month in Honolulu, saying one of the victims has now died from his injuries.
According to a KHON report, a 54-year-old man who had been hospitalized since the Oct. 4 collision passed away last Friday.
Honolulu police said the victim was a passenger in a vehicle driven by a 49-year-old man. That driver was trying to turn left into a property on North School Street at about 10:50 p.m. when his car was hit head-on by a vehicle driving in the opposite lane. The 49-year-old was transported to an area hospital and listed in critical condition.
The driver of the second vehicle, a 32-year-old man, was hospitalized in serious condition. Investigators said that driver was speeding at the time of the collision.
