HONOLULU, HI – Paramedics were called to the scene of a crash in Honolulu on Saturday night that left three people injured, Hawaii News Now reported.
Officials said a 42-year-old woman was driving on Kapahulu Avenue at about 8:30 p.m. when she collided with a traffic sign and a telephone pole near Williams Street.
The woman was transported to an area hospital by Emergency Medical Services and was listed in serious condition. Two boys with her in the vehicle, ages 8 and 5, were hospitalized in stable condition.
The force of the crash severed an electrical wire, affecting 16 Hawaiian Electric customers in the area. Utility crews were dispatched to make repairs.
There was no immediate word on what led to the accident.
