WAIANAE, HI – Police are investigating a hit-and-run collision that killed a pedestrian in Waianae last week, according to KITV.
The incident took place Nov. 7 in the vicinity of Hale Wai Vista near Farrington Highway. The Honolulu Police Department said a driver was going south at about 5:10 p.m. and struck the pedestrian in a private driveway.
The victim, a 65-year-old man, was pronounced dead after being taken to an area hospital. The driver involved turned onto Farrington Highway and kept going west without stopping to help or provide information, investigators said.
