OAHU, HI – Several accidents throughout Oahu on Monday prompted responses from Honolulu Emergency Medical Services, the Honolulu Star-Advertiser reported.

One incident took place on Kaukonahua Road at 1:40 p.m., when a moped rider apparently lost control and struck a guardrail.  The rider, a woman estimated to be 22-years-old, was in serious condition after being taken to an area hospital.  She was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Earlier in the day, EMS was called to the area of Maipaloa Road and Farrington Highway at about 11 a.m. after an SUV collided with a pumper truck.  A man in his 30s was hospitalized in stable condition.

About 90 minutes later, a woman in her 40s was seriously injured in a T-bone collision on Waialae Avenue in Kaimuki.

A short time later, a car and an e-bicycle were involved in a collision in the vicinity of South King Street and Piikoi Street.  The bicyclist, a man estimated to be 19-years-old was transported by paramedics to an area emergency room, where he was listed in serious condition.  He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
